YEREVAN, 29 JANUARY, ARMENPRESS. Vardan Petrosyan will likely be released in April 2015. This is what Vardan Petrosyan’s attorney Nikolay Baghdasaryan told journalists following the January 29 trial.

 “We know it is assumed that there will be an amnesty act that will also apply to Vardan Petrosyan’s sentencing. Vardan Petrosyan will be released in April, whether the injured party appeals this verdict or not. I don’t agree with the first instance court’s verdict and am certain that the injured party is also unsatisfied,” the attorney told “Armenpress”, adding that if the injured party decides to appeal this verdict, there will be nothing left for the Court of Appeal to do but to terminate the case and release Vardan Petrosyan. “I believe there will be a forensic automobile-technical expert examination. Only after we get the results of that examination will we appeal the verdict of the first instance court,” he emphasized, adding that in that case, the Court of Appeal will likely appeal the verdict of the first instance court.
