YEREVAN, 27 JANUARY, ARMENPRESS. On January 27, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Galust Sahakyan received a group of military servicemen at the National Assembly. At the end, the Speaker of the National Assembly granted the Medal of Honor of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia to commander of the military unit of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Major General Poghos Poghosyan. Several military servicemen were awarded certificates and nominal watches.

 Armenia’s Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan expressed his gratitude to the head of the legislative body and the deputies for always keeping the army in focus and for supporting the army.

 In his speech, Galust Sahakyan particularly mentioned: “Tomorrow, January 28^th, marks the 23^rd anniversary of the formation of the Armenian Army. Our army is only 23 years old, but is mature, like an old, wise man. The Armenian army gained wisdom and a tremendous amount of experience with difficulty, achieving great heights and suffering heavy losses. I have said several times that the greatest organization of Armenian youth is the Armenian army, and the youth are the ones who will shape our future.”
