YEREVAN, JANUARY 27, ARMENPRESS: The Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia implement the task, set before them – to provide for the safety of Armenia and Karabakh – under the conditions of difficult international and regional developments. The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan stated that due to the accurate assessment of the situation and the adoption of new approaches, the Armenia's Armed Forces have managed not only to protect the borders of the country, but also become an army, meeting all the standards of the 21st century.
«Azerbaijan continues the super militarization policy, spreading hatred among its society towards the Armenians and keeping to denial stance on Karabakh negotiations process. The rival within a year and this year as well conducts subversive operations and implements a war of snipers, which are of intentional and planned nature, aiming to test the protection level of the Armenian forces and escalate the tension. Though, in case of the weakest success, Azerbaijan would implement more serious steps. They have not had serious success and they were suppressed by the Armenian soldier. Last year we beat the rival on all the fronts and make it lose, though, unfortunately, suffering casualties as well», - said Seyran Ohanyan on January 27 at the annual press conference, Armenpress reports.
