YEREVAN, 26 JANUARY, ARMENPRESS. Press secretary of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan urges the parents of Azerbaijani soldiers having recently died as a result of incidents on the border to demand clarifications from the commanders of the country’s armed forces. As “Armenpress” reports, this is what press speaker of the Ministry of Defense wrote on his Facebook page.

“Expressing condolences to the families of the Azerbaijani victims on falling victim to the Azerbaijani authorities’ adventurism, we would also like to give some clarification. Yes, we don’t hide the fact that we took preventive actions. The relatives of the victims can demand clarifications from the commanders of the country’s armed forces about what happened to the more than 15 Azerbaijani soldiers serving at the 812^th motorized shooting brigade defense unit stationed in the direction of Gyoali-Getabek, at the 191^st mountain shooting brigade unit stationed in the direction of Zivlyan-Dashkesan, at the 707^th motorized shooting brigade defense unit stationed in the direction of Kemerli and at the 161^st motorized shooting brigade defense unit stationed in the direction of Kiyamaddinli between the 23^rd and 26^th of April 2015.

P.S. By the way, we would like to advise the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan to differentiate between a mortar and a grenade since the number of victims and the destruction would be totally different in the case of mortars.”
