Sport doesn’t like politics: Armenian Minister on participation in European Games in Baku

YEREVAN, JANUARY 26, ARMENPRESS: The Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Gabriel Ghazaryan believes that Armenia should participate in the European Games to be held in Baku. “This year we have quite a big test: Baku’s European Games are ahead. 2015 will be a hard year for the entire sport world and especially for the wrestling”, - the Minister told the journalists during the Wrestling Tournament, Armenpress reports.
Touching upon the first European Games, Gabriel Ghazaryan stated: “Now preliminary works are being conducted, though the official statement will be made later, if the sportsmen will go or not. Though, my personal opinion is that they should take part in the European Games. Sport does not like politics. Baku, the International Olympic Committee and the European Olympic Committee have promised to ensure safety”, - said the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
