Psychiatric expert examination still hasn’t been designated for Permyakov’s case

YEREVAN, 23 JANUARY, ARMENPRESS. Armenia still hasn’t designated a psychiatric expert examination for Russian soldier Valery Permyakov, who is charged with the murder that took place in Gyumri on January 12. This is what press speaker of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia Sona Truzyan said in an interview with “Armenpress”. “We still haven’t designated a psychiatric expert examination for the case of Valery Permyakov. I don’t know who the source for the Russian side is, but we haven’t conducted such an examination. There have already been other kinds of expert examinations, but not a psychiatric one,” Truzyan said.

Russia’s Interfax news agency, referring to its anonymous sources, wrote that a psychological-psychiatric expert examination would be conducted within the frames of the case of soldier of the 102nd Russian Military Base Valery Permyakov, who is charged with killing the 7 members of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri. “Several expert examinations have been designated and will be conducted during the joint investigative operations, including a forensic psychological expert examination prescribed by law in the case of such crimes,” Interfax had written.

Previously it was reported that all the victims of assassination in Armenia’s Gyumri have been identified. The Press Secretary of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia Sona Truzyan informed Armenpress that Seryozha K. Avetisyan (father of the family), Hasmik R. Avetisyan (mother of the family), Armen S. Avetisyan (their son), Araks A. Avetisyan (family’s bride), Aida S. Avetisyan (daughter) and Hasmik A. Avetisyan (2-year old child) have been killed.

6-month old Seryozha Avetisyan was taken to the hospital with a number of stab wounds, one of them in the area of abdominal cavity. The doctors could not save the life of 6-month-old Seryozha Avetisyan. Biological death of the child was recorded at 17:02 on January 19.

The serviceman of the Russian military base 102 Valery Permyakov, suspected in the assassination of the family of 6 in Armenia’s Gyumri, has given first testimonies and confessed his crime. The Russian frontier troops arrested the suspect of the assassination in Armenia’s Gyumri, who attempted to cross the Armenian-Turkish border. The suspect was arrested in the vicinity of Bayandur village.
