Karabakh serviceman posthumously awarded with “For Courage” medal

YEREVAN, JANUARY 20, ARMENPRESS: On 20 January the President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan signed a decree posthumously awarding serviceman of the NKR Defense Army's N division Suren Pilosyan with the "For Courage" medal for bravery shown during the defense of the NKR state border. Armenpress was informed about it from the press service of the Artsakh President’s Office. 
Earlier it was reported that in accordance with the operative data of the Defense Army, the rival violated the ceasefire regime on the entire line of contact of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing armies for about 220 times at the night of January 19-20. Over 2000 bullets of different diameters have been fired towards our troops during this period.
Within the same period, the Azerbaijani armed forces attempted to realize 8 sabotage and reconnaissance acts in the different parts of the line of contact, which were detected in time and thrown back suffering losses.
The Press Service of the Ministry of Defense of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic informed Armenpress that Suren Kh. Pilosyan (born in 1995), serviceman of the military unit of the Defense Army located in southern direction, received lethal wound due to the ceasefire regime violations by the rival.
The Ministry of Defense of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic shares the bitter pain of loss and expresses his support to S. Pilosyan’s family members, relatives, and fellow serviceman. A probe has been launched to reveal the details of the incident.
