YEREVAN, 28 DECEMBER, ARMENPRESS. The State Service for Food Safety at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia has issued a statement in which it reminds that the accession of the Republic of Armenia to the Eurasian Economic Union will lead to certain legal consequences. “ArmenPress” presents the statement issued by the SSFS: 

“The treaty on the accession of the Republic of Armenia to the Eurasian Economic Union will enter into force on 2 January 2015, and there will be certain legal consequences due to the accession of the Republic of Armenia to the Eurasian Economic Union. The legislative amendments are related to the safety standards for food and nonfood products subject to sanitary, veterinary and phytosanitary supervision, as well as the registration of economic entities and products. In relation to that, we inform that starting from 2 January 2015, only the products of companies producing, reprocessing and storing products subject to veterinary supervision (control) and registered in the registry of EEU member states, including the third countries of the Republic of Armenia may be imported to the territory of the Republic of Armenia. The list of products subject to veterinary supervision is established by Annex I of Decision N1205-N of the Government of the Republic of Armenia of 30 October 2014. Starting from 2 January 2015, unregistered organizations will be included in the registry of third countries in the manner defined by Decision N1228-N of the Government of the Republic of Armenia of 30 October 2014 “On Approving the Common Procedures for Joint Inspections of Objects Subject to Veterinary Supervision, Sampling of Products Produced in the Territory of the Eurasian Economic Union and Maintaining the Registries for Organizations of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Organizations of Third Countries”.
