YEREVAN, 24 DECEMBER, ARMENPRESS. On December 24, the inter-agency commission for coordination of the “Ari Tun” and “Diaspora” Programs and the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival held a wide-format session at the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia. The session was moderated by Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan. Among the participants were Armenia’s Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan, representatives of ministries, regional councils, heads of local self-government bodies and the host families of the “Ari Tun” Program, as well as leaders of compatriotic and non-governmental organizations.

As the Department of Media and Public Relations of the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia reports to “ArmenPress”, summing up the results of the programs carried out in 2014, the Minister mentioned that success and satisfying results of those programs are due to the willingness and faithful efforts of the corresponding regional councils and government agencies. Hranush Hakobyan emphasized the fact that every child having set foot on the homeland at least once through any one of these programs preserves the Armenian identity, regardless of the country of residence.
