YEREVAN, 20 DECEMBER, ARMENPRESS. Director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia Gorik Hakobyan urges several figures to refrain from revolts and irresponsible calls to get rid of the authorities by force. In his speech during the session being held on the occasion of the Day of the National Security Service Officer, Gorik Hakobyan emphasized that everyone knows about the tragic events that the so-called “colorful revolutions” led to and stressed the fact that the nations having experienced those brutalities won’t be able to overcome the devastating consequences of civil wars, socio-economic and humanitarian crises for many years. “Unfortunately, Armenian society was also polarized and showed intolerance. It took great efforts to stabilize the situation and get everything back on track. Some of today’s political figures haven’t learned the lessons of the past and are trying to engage some members of society with calls for upheaval and by making irresponsible calls to overthrow the government by force,” Hakobyan mentioned, as “ArmenPress” reports. 

Hakobyan emphasized that the authorities of the National Security Service aren't getting ready to follow the events as an observer. “We will take all necessary measures to prevent any illegal manifestation aimed at disturbing constitutional order in the republic. This is not a threat, but we feel there is a need for a warning,” the NSS Director declared.
