YEREVAN, 19 DECEMBER, ARMENPRESS. President Serzh Sargsyan received today Vice-President of the European Parliament, member of the Bureau of the EURONEST PA Ryszard Czarnecki. As the Department of Public Relations and Mass Media of the Structure of the Office to the President of the Republic of Armenia reports to “ArmenPress”, Serzh Sargsyan welcomed the guest and attached importance to such meetings which, according to the President, serve as a good opportunity to discuss with Armenia’s friends of the European community the perspectives of the development of EU-Armenia relations.

The head of state and Ryszard Czarnecki, who is of Polish descent, fondly recalled their meetings in the past and the reciprocal visits of the Presidents of Armenia and Poland, stating with satisfaction that the Armenian-Polish interstate relations are developing dynamically. President Serzh Sargsyan stressed the fact that Poland is a reliable partner for Armenia in the international arena and that the friendly relations with Poland are hinged on historical ties and common approaches to different issues. Ryszard Czarnecki mentioned that his country has a good idea and specially understands the geopolitical situation that Armenia is currently in.
