YEREVAN, 17 DECEMBER, ARMENPRESS. Armenia is not the only country in a heavy financial situation. This is what Speaker of the National Assembly Galust Sahakyan said during a press conference at the National Assembly. He had exited the closed-door session, which was devoted to the situation created in Armenia’s financial market. “Since the whole world is in the same situation, it’s very hard to state when this process will end. However, there are predictions that we have to implement. This is what we’re currently discussing during the extraordinary session with the Chairman of the Central Bank,” Sahakyan mentioned, as “ArmenPress” reports.

Touching upon the people’s panic, the Speaker of the National Assembly noted that that panic has a bigger impact on the shifts in the financial market. “First, we need to use tools that will allow us to refrain from panicking. The government, the Central Bank and the National Assembly need to communicate with the people to a certain extent in order to help them understand the situation. We need to use serious tools, and that’s why we’re holding these discussions,” he added.
