YEREVAN, 27 NOVEMBER, ARMENPRESS. The full-length film “Our Village” won the awards for Best Artistic Film and Sympathy of the Audience at the “Nur” Film Festival held in Toronto. Last year, Armenia Public Television broadcast the 16-part film series called “Our Village”, which TV viewers loved so much that it was decided to combine the best parts of the film series and make it one film. The festival’s organizers had offered to include the film in the program of the festival months ago, and recently it was announced that the film won awards at the festival.

In an interview with “ArmenPress”, the film’s director Yelena Arshakyan expressed gratitude to those who had helped produce the film. “When we were just starting to work on the film series, I underestimated it a little since I couldn’t imagine how it would turn out to be, but it was a great pleasure to shoot the film,” she said, adding that she is charmed by the sincerity and hospitality of the people of Dsegh.
