YEREVAN, 27 NOVEMBER, ARMENPRESS. Employees of Nairit Factory will receive their regular salaries in two days and will receive their other unpaid salaries before December 25^th. This is what Armenia´s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Yervand Zakharyan told the factory´s employees during a meeting at Nairit Factory. Zakharyan mentioned that even though the employees´ demands for operating the factory again and returning salaries are just, the government doesn’t have legal grounds to fulfill those demands. “We are aware that we are obliged to defend your rights by the Constitution, but the Government’s actions must be legally substantiated. To this day, the salaries have been paid at the expense of Yerevan’s Thermal Power Station, which has provided a 12-13 million drams to Nairit as a loan. They have been formulated as loans, and the loans have interest rates that are nearly 1 billion drams a year,” Zakharyan said, according to “ArmenPress”. 

During the meeting, the employees addressed the minister with the request to receive their salaries for December early due to additional expenses ahead of the New Year. In his turn, the minister promised to discuss the issue with the Prime Minister and pay heed to the employees’ request, if possible.
