Armenia must give a balanced response to Azerbaijan. “The operation carried out by the special subdivisions of the NKR Defense Army proved that our army has people who are capable and who don’t need advice from unauthorized persons.” According to “ArmenPress”, this is what Executive Director of the Against the Violation of Law NGO Larisa Alaverdyan said during a November 26 press conference, adding that she doesn’t view the removal of the bodies of the pilots of the downed helicopter as a full response to Azerbaijan’s provocative actions and believes that Armenia must give a balanced response to Baku’s provocative actions.

In response to “ArmenPress”’s question on whether Armenia’s accession to the EEU will have a positive impact on the situation on the line of contact or not, Larisa Alaverdyan said: “Azerbaijan isn’t moving forward with long-term goals, and I don’t think Armenia’s accession to the EEU will change the situation. With his provocative policy, Ilham Aliyev is trying to make the Armenian society panic and has put himself in a situation where he can no longer make calls for peace. Azerbaijan continues to lead an anti-Armenian, xenophobic policy,” Alaverdyan said, adding that there is an article entitled “Azerbaijan: Racism without Borders” which describes the real atmosphere in the country. The head of the NGO also emphasized the fact that Ilham Aliyev’s father, Heydar Aliyev led a much more flexible policy in Azerbaijan and was able to maintain ties with different layers of society.
