YEREVAN, 25 NOVEMBER, ARMENPRESS. The statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia condemning the downing by Azerbaijani armed forces of the helicopter of Artsakh’s Defense Army during a flight in training has been circulated as an official document of the United Nations General Assembly and the United Nations Security Council.

As the Department of Press, Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reports to “ArmenPress”, the statement reads as follows: “We strictly condemn the downing by the Azerbaijani armed forces of helicopter MI-24 of the Defense Army of Nagorno-Karabakh during a flight in training.

Before and after each high-level meeting for the conflict settlement, Azerbaijan takes more provocative actions to impede the process of negotiation and the efforts of Armenia and the international community for an exclusively peaceful settlement of the conflict.

Azerbaijan is crudely violating the agreements reached during the recent summits on a peaceful settlement of the conflict.

Such criminal provocations show that Baku is not only ignoring the calls of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairing countries and the international community for no use of force, reinforcement of the ceasefire regime and the implementation of confidence-building measures, but is also going against them and is taking full responsibility for intensification of the situation.”
