Azerbaijan can’t restrict the NKR’s airspace

YEREVAN, 25 NOVEMBER, ARMENPRESS. The opponent provocative behavior is not strange to the Defense Army, which is always ready to counterattack the enemy. This is what Minister of Defense of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Commander of the Defense Army Movses Hakobyan mentioned during a press conference following the funeral service for the pilots of the downed helicopter at Yerablur Military Pantheon. “Generally speaking, such incidents do have a certain impact on the army, but armies are created for wars, and this is an episode of a war. Such incidents can’t lead to mental decline within the army,” Hakobyan emphasized as he touched upon the downing by the opponent of the unarmed helicopter and the impact of that incident on the army, according to “ArmenPress”.

When asked why the helicopter was so close to the line of contact during the flight in training, Movses Hakobyan said an official investigation was underway and that the details would be clarified.

Touching upon Azerbaijan’s statement on declaring Karabakh a no-fly zone, Movses Hakobyan mentioned: “There have always been and always will be flights. Azerbaijan isn’t competent and can’t restrict the airspace of Nagorno-Karabakh.”
