YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 25, ARMENPRESS: The primary impact of the membership of Armenia in the Eurasian Economic Union on inflation in 2015 is estimated a maximum of 0,4 percentage points. According to the forecast by the Central Bank, without customs privileges, this indicator would fluctuate between 1,0-1,5%.
Armenpress reports that the Central Bank predicted that the change of tariffs on imported goods can have both primary and secondary effects on the inflation. Thus, to estimate the primary impact of the membership of Armenia in the Eurasian Economic Union on the inflation, first of all, all the imported products of the consumer basket of the Republic of Armenia were separated, the customs tariffs of which are subject to change.
The share of these products in the consumer basket of the Republic of Armenia is 30%, if we do not take into account the customs privileges for some of them defined in the result of the negotiations held by the Government.
