Armenia to have privileges for 752 products for 5 years within EEU
YEREVAN, 24 NOVEMBER, ARMENPRESS. The existing customs duties rates for 752 products will be maintained during the first five years following Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union. This is what Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Economy Emil Tarasyan said during parliamentary hearings on the treaty on Armenia’s accession to the EEU at the National Assembly. “The existing customs duties rates for 752 products will be maintained for another five years, and increase in customs duties rates for those products is ruled out in that period,” Tarasyan mentioned in response to independent NA Deputy Khachatur Kokobelyan’s question, according to “ArmenPress”.
At the same time, the deputy minister noted that it’s hard to predict whether the prices of those products will go up in five years or not. “I believe it’s too early to talk about inflation. Time will tell,” he mentioned.
