EEU accession is in Armenia’s national interests

YEREVAN, 24 NOVEMBER, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s decision on accession to the Eurasian Economic Union is in the national interests of the Republic of Armenia.

This is what Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Shavarsh Kocharyan announced during parliamentary hearings devoted to Armenia’s accession to the EEU, responding to Deputy of Heritage Party’s faction Zaruhi Postanjyan’s question on whether the Armenian government had planned the scenarios for the future of Armenia and Artsakh following accession to the EEU or not, taking into consideration the fact that the Russian economy is in turmoil and is on the verge of collapse. “I’m going to be optimistic, more optimistic. When making the decision on accession to the Eurasian Economic Union, we took into consideration all the challenges. If you have delicate questions, I’m ready to discuss those delicate questions,” Kocharyan mentioned, according to “ArmenPress”.
