YEREVAN, 24 NOVEMBER, ARMENPRESS. The National Olympic Committee of Armenia (ARMNOC) has issued a statement on Armenia’s participation in the Baku 2015 European Games. According to “ArmenPress”, the official statement comes after the 43^rd General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees, which was held on 21-22 November in Baku with the participation of the delegation of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia led by ARMNOC Secretary General Hrachya Rostomyan.

The following is particularly stated in the statement of the ARMNOC: “The delegates of the Assembly praised the decision of the ARMNOC to participate in the sessions of the General Assembly held in Baku. The issue of Armenia’s participation in the Baku 2015 First European Games was discussed during individual meetings with representatives of the European Olympic Committees, and the organizers of the first European Games stressed once again the fact that they will ensure the Armenian delegates’ security. During the 43^rd General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees, it was also decided to host the 45^th General Assembly in Yerevan, Armenia. The National Olympic Committee of Armenia finds that Armenia’s athletes must participate in the First European Games in Baku, proving once again that Armenia’s athletes can keep the honor and reputation of our country high in any country. Nevertheless, taking into consideration the delicacy and importance of the issue, only after meetings with athletes will the ARMNOC make a final decision.”
