Armenia praises partnership with World Customs Organization

YEREVAN, 21 NOVEMBER, ARMENPRESS. President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received today Secretary General of the World Customs Organization Kunio Mikuriya.

As the Department of Public Relations and Mass Media of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Armenia reports to “ArmenPress”, greeting the guest, Serzh Sargsyan considered Mr. Mikuriya’s subsequent visit to Armenia evidence of the organization’s great commitment and special attention to the reforms taking place in the sphere of customs service in the member countries. Sargsyan voiced hope that during the visit to Armenia, Kunio Mikuriya will manage to record and assess the efficiency and achievements of the reforms that Armenia has implemented with the support of the World Customs Organization in this sphere over the past five years. The President emphasized that Armenia praises the longstanding partnership between Armenia and the World Customs Organization and expressed gratitude to the organization for its support to the country and its interest in cooperation to overcome the challenges facing the sector.
