The OSCE Minsk Group must express a more addressable position on the downing by Azerbaijan of the Armenian helicopter so that Azerbaijan’s provocative acts don’t cause too much harm to the negotiation process. This is what Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly, Deputy of the Republican faction (HHK) Artak Zakaryan said today during a press conference at the National Assembly. “Armenia’s reaction has always been to call on the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to express an addressable position, and in this case, show Azerbaijan as the party that committed a crude violation. This incident contains a very crude and coarse diversion aimed at hurting the peaceful process of negotiations, meaning Azerbaijan’s actions are also against the OSCE Minsk Group,” Zakaryan mentioned, according to “ArmenPress”, adding that the Armenian party’s firm conviction is that there is no alternative to the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and that there is no alternative to the Minsk Group’s negotiation process with the Minsk Group either.

Artak Zakaryan mentioned that it’s not the first time that Azerbaijan is trying to lead the process of negotiations to failure and that everyone knows that. According to him, those actions are inadmissible, can’t contribute to the formation of an atmosphere of peace between the societies and to the peaceful settlement of the conflict and are also aimed at impeding the peace process with the Minsk Group.
