Strasbourg Orchestra performs Azerbaijani national anthem as funeral march
20:30, 18 November 2014YEREVAN, 18 NOVEMBER, ARMENPRESS: A video showing the ceremony of Azerbaijan transferring the 6-month chairmanship in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe over to Belgium has been posted on the Internet.
“ArmenPress” reports that the video has been posted on YouTube with the title “Strasbourg Orchestra performs Azerbaijan’s national anthem as a funeral march”.
The creator of the video commented the video by stating the following: “The Strasbourg Orchestra performed Azerbaijan’s national anthem as a funeral march during the ceremony of Azerbaijan transferring the chairmanship in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe to Belgium on 13 November 2014”.
The Azerbaijani Azadlig newspaper reports that a protest was held yesterday in front of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Belgium during which the members of the participating international organizations demanded the release of advocates and political prisoners in Azerbaijan. They held photos of the detained advocates, including Leyla Yunus, Rasul Jafarov and Intigam Aliyev.
