At meeting with Putin Sharmazanov stresses need for CSTO’s unified stance
YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS: Chairman of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), President of Russia Vladimir Putin met today with the members of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Council, including the head of the Armenian delegation at the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, Armenian National Assembly Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov.
At the meeting Mr Sharmazanov delivered a speech. Addressing the guests, he specifically noted that the CSTO appears to be a major tool for ensuring stability and security and is aimed at providing collective defense in case of threats to security, National Assembly’s press service informed Armenpress.
Eduard Sharmazanov pointed out the need to pay attention to such key issues as manifestation of a unified stance among the CSTO member states, giving priority to the assumed commitments in cooperation.
