YEREVAN, OCTOBER 31, ARMENPRESS: The journalist of the Swiss “Le Matin” newspaper apologized before the head coach of the Armenian national football team Bernard Challandes. Armenpress reports, citing the Football Federation of Armenia that the sports reporter of the Swiss “Le Matin” (“Morning”) Tschoumy Renaud sent an official letter to the Football Federation of Armenia, which particularly says: 

“I have heard that my interview with Bernard Challandes in the website LeMatin.ch emerged some discussions. I apologize before you and Bernard Challandes, as I had misunderstood some words. I hope that all these misunderstandings stay in the past. Bernard Challandes has never said that “the Armenian team, which played against the French team, is on the level of the Swiss Premier League”. I did not understand correctly that part of the interview. Challandes told me that he is proud of the game the Armenian team showed against Serbia. I hope that you are not that angry with me for my misunderstandings. I have corrected the wrong parts in my article”.
