YEREVAN, OCTOBER 20, ARMENPRESS. On 20 October Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan was present at the opening of the “Paths of Strengthening Cooperation between Television and Radio Companies of the Republic of Armenia and the Nagorno Karabagh Republic and Further Development of the Sphere” conference launched in capital Stepanakert.

The Central Information Department of the Office of the Artsakh Republic President informed “Armenpress” that in his welcoming speech President Sahakyan underlined that the telecommunications were among the key components of our country's socioeconomic and security systems, touching upon almost all the spheres of life.

Referring to currently existing issues in the field, the Head of the State stressed the necessity of continuous modernization of the technical base, preparation and training of qualified cadres, carrying out serious ideological work, adding that the issues concerning telecommunications would continue to be at the spotlight of the authorities.

Chairman of the National Commission on Television and Radio of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Bouniatyan, head of the NKR State Commission on regulating public services and economic competition Levon Mnacakanyan and other officials took part in the conference.
