YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 23, ARMENPERSS: Deputy Minister of Culture Arev Samuelyan, who is in Georgia on a working visit, together with the heads of the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia, visited on September 23 the Armenian Church of St. Minas and familiarized herself with the situation on place.  The part of the roof of the Armenian Church of St. Minas in Tbilisi collapsed in consequence of heavy rains on Sept 19.

An agreements was reached as a result of joint discussions, according to which the Culture Ministry of Georgia in collaboration with Tbilisi Municipality will start cleaning works of the monument, the damage will be estimated. The Culture Ministry will work out a project on further preservation and restoration of the monument and will submit it to the government of Georgia for getting budget funding for restoration of the monument in 2015.
