YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS: In the upcoming decade Armenia will have 2 thousand teachers with international qualification who will be ready to implement the national program of academic excellence, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said at a meeting with teachers at Gyumri’s technology center. “The future of any country is shaped at school and any educational program succeeds only in case of appropriate personnel qualification,” the President stressed, Armenpress reports.

Serzh Sargsyan attached importance to investment of international standards in Armenia, underscoring that thanks to it the future teachers will be change makers. “They should serve an example for the new generation and create new approaches of teaching. For that very reason a rich center of resources will be set up, which will support the entire teachers’ community improving the content of the teaching and making the international standards in compliance with local approaches,” said Serzh Sargsyan.

The President assured that continuous quality increase of the education will be the core issue of the state structures, but he also highlighted participation of the society in that process.
