YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS: On September 11 within the framework of “Open Doors” program a group of pupils and teachers of Yerevan Academic Senior School visited the National Assembly. The Department for Mass Media and Public Relations of the Parliament informed Armenpress that the Speaker of the National Assembly Galust Sahakyan conducted the open lesson and congratulated the children on the occasion of the new educational year, wishing them success in their education.  

Presenting the activity and structure of the parliament, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armeniahighlighted the participation of the youth in the public and political life of the state. Galust Sahakyan talked with pride about the Armenian schoolchildren’s achievements in the international Olympiads, noting that the upbringing of a good Armenian and a good citizen is also today an achievement and the important component of the ideology of education. The Head of the parliament urged the pupils to study well and read much, highlighting the role of the fiction and reading in the upbringing of patriotic, well-bred and literate man.

Then the National Assembly Speaker answered with love the pupils' questions, which related to the school-leaving exams, the reforms in the sphere of education, the pre-professional education and the possibilities of continuing the education abroad.

At the end of the meeting the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Galust Sahakyan had been taken photos with the teachers and pupils in the National AssemblySession Hall.
