YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS. The Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the People’s Republic of China Armen Sargsyan attended the 4th China-Eurasia International Exhibition and Conference, which kicked off Monday in Urumqi, the capital city of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China. This is already the third time the Armenian companies participate in this major international exhibition. A row of Armenia-based brandy, wine, and vodka producing companies were represented in this year’s Armenian pavilion. The Press, Information, and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informed “Armenpress” that the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the People’s Republic of China Armen Sargsyan had a meeting with the Communist Party of China Chief for Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Zhang Chunxian on September 2.

The both sides noted that the introducing Armenian products in China-Eurasia International Exhibition can contribute to the increase in the volume of bilateral trade turnover. Ambassador Sargsyan underscored that the launch of Yerevan-Urumqi direct flights is of a certain importance for the development of economic ties and the activation of bilateral cooperation in tourism. In turn, Zhang Chunxian highlighted that China also attaches importance to the launch of direct flights and expressed a hope that it will be possible to solve the issue with joint efforts in a foreseeable future.
