YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 3, ARMENPRESS: President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan has sent today a congratulatory message to Prime Minister of Poland, President-elect of the European Council Donald Tusk. As the Department for Mass Media and Public Relations of the President of Armenia told Armenpress, the message runs as follows:

“Respected Mr Tusk, I cordially congratulate you on your election as President of the European Council. I wish you successes in fulfilment of your very responsible mission, which will surely be productive not only for the member states of the European Union, but for the neighbour and partner countries as well.

We are interested in expanding Armenia’s relations with our partner of utmost importance, the European Union, during your tenure, opening new horizons of cooperation. I also reassure Armenia’s commitment to continue the comprehensive cooperation based on general merits with the European Union within the framework of the Eastern Partnership.

I am sure that the constructive dialogue initiated between us, and the inter-state Armenian-Polish relations, that develop dynamically, will positively affect expansion of the European Union-Armenia cooperation.
