YEREVAN, AUGUST 29, ARMENPRESS: The education system of Armenia should correspond to the international standards. No country could have a future without a modern education system. The President stated about it at the meeting with the winners of “Kangaroo” international mathematics competition, medal graduates of 2013-2014 academic years, and pupils winning international Olympiads in his residence. He told the pupils that he had chosen the specialty of a philologist to develop the Armenian philology. “There are things that are quite difficult to be explained. It happened so. With saying that I loved the Armenian language and the Armenian literature, I would say nothing, as the major part of our society thinks so”, - said Serzh Sargsyan.

Concerning getting education abroad, the Armenia’s President stated that constant study and specialists’ training are quite important for every specialist but in case you have specialty and knowledge and need to deepen them. “I wanted to choose such a specialty, which would not be taught better abroad. I do not think that the Armenian philology could be taught better in any other country of the world than in Armenia. Now it is necessary to know languages but there are specialties, which should be studied in Armenia only. Certainly, not all the philologists study the Armenian language and literature. Even to study the Armenian language and literature it is necessary to get acquainted with the world literature and linguistics”, - said Serzh Sargsyan, adding that in case of the present pupils the education abroad is a necessity and the training should be anecessary condition, Armenpress reports.

The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan hosted the winners of “Kangaroo” international mathematics competition, medal graduates of 2013-2014 academic years, and pupils winning international Olympiads in his residence. The President welcomed the present and former pupils and stated that he is proud of them and called them Heroes. Among other things, the President underscored: “Good for you, you are the future of our country, we all are proud of you. We are proud not less than your parents and teachers. I would like all our citizens to be such conscientious like you and work and learn as effectively as you. I consider it very important that your achievements will continue in the future.” According to the President, one must work hard and constantly and improve himself. The President highlighted: “There are only few examples, when the pupil doesn’t do his best during studies, but in future reaches great success due to his work and commitment.”
