Armenia’s NSS to investigate criminal case on recent border incidents

YEREVAN, AUGUST 29, ARMENPRESS: The Armenia’s Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan paid a visit to the border Tavush Region. Kostanyan held a consultation with the respective regional heads of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the National Security Service (NSS), the Police, the territorial administration agencies and the Ministries of Emergency Situations and Defense.
The Prosecutor General’s Office press service informed Armenpress that the interlocutors conferred on the criminal cases that are filed, the avenues for making a proper assessment of such cases and the measures that need to be taken for their prevention.
The Armenian attorney general also commissioned the NSS Department of Investigation to conduct an inquiry into the criminal case that has been filed in the connection with the recent incidents that occurred in several sections of Armenia’s state border.
