Drunken Azerbaijani passenger may appear in airlines’ "black list"

YEREVAN, AUGUST 26, ARMENPRESS. The drunken Azerbaijani brawler from the Russian “Aeroflot” company’s plane, flying from Dubai to Moscow, was sent to medical examination, reports “Armenpress”, in reference to RIA Novosti.

Previously, a bill had been introduced in the Russian State Duma on criminal and administrative responsibility for passengers, who violate security regulations on aircraft. In particular, it was proposed to establish the right for airlines to refuse to sell a ticket to the passenger, who during the past five years has violated the code of behavior on the plane (including the passenger on the black list).

Earlier it was reported that a plane belonging to “Aeroflot” company, flying from Dubai to Moscow, made an emergency landing in Yerevan. As reports “Armenpress”, in reference to RIA Novosti, the cause of the forced landing was a 30-35-year-old man.

At the time the plane took off, one of the passengers started to act rudely, spoke loudly and molested children. As there were only stewardesses on board, they had to turn to the male passengers for help. One of the eyewitnesses told that 6 male passengers caught the man and bound him to the seat.

Eventually, the airplane made an emergency landing in Yerevan. The pilots wanted to hand the drunken passenger to the local police. But as the passenger was an Azerbaijani citizen, the Armenian side refused to receive him. The passenger was handcuffed. The Armenian doctors used tranquilizer to calm him down, after which he fell asleep. Later on, the airplane flew from Yerevan to Moscow with three hours of delay.

The unruly passenger was handed over to the police in Moscow. “Aeroflot” company suggested that the Azerbaijani passenger be sentenced to ten years in prison.
