YEREVAN, AUGUST 26, ARMENPRESS.  Renovation in Northern Avenue in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan will be completed by October, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan told reporters during a tour of “Kentron” administrative district. In the recent period the construction work there has become more active.

As reports “Armenpress”, Yerevan Mayor thanked "Tashir" company and Samvel Karapetyan for the renovation of the avenue. "Nearly six million USD investments have been implemented. He does it for Yerevan and gives as a present to the residents of Yerevan," said Taron Margaryan.

The repair work at the 12,200-square-meter area of Northern Avenue is still in progress. As a result, the granite-made main and basalt-made side areas of the avenue will be completely renovated. And instead of the previous 60 flowerpots with an area of 60 square meters, the renovated Northern Avenue will have 67 flowerpots with an area of 270 square meters. In addition, the avenue’s exterior lighting system will be updated and renewed with modern solutions. Furthermore, a pair of escalators will operate on both ends of Northern Avenue.
