YEREVAN, AUGUST 22, ARMENPRESS. Within the period ranging from August 17 to 22, the Azerbaijani side continued to violate the ceasefire regime in different parts of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border and Karabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact. The Department of Information and Public Relations of Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia informed “Armenpress” that within the period ranging from August 17 to 22, the ceasefire regime was violated by the rival for about 48 times at the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border, during which more than 300 shots were fired towards the Armenian soldiers. As reports "Armenpress", the statement issued by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia particularly runs as follows:

"The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia once again calls on the Azerbaijani side to refrain from the steps aimed at intensifying the situation and to take practical measures to stabilize the situation on the border.

The Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and the Defense Army of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic confidently control the situation across the entire line of contact and strictly remain loyal to the ceasefire regime. The Armenian servicemen take relevant actions for the situation only in case of purposeful violations recorded by the rival.”
