YEREVAN, AUGUST 21, ARMENPRESS. As a result of the excavations carried out in Tigranakert and Azokh cave new artifacts have been found, which are displayed on the spot. This was informed by the NKR Minister of Culture Narine Aghabalyan during a meeting with the journalists in Stepanakert. "I must say that our monuments are under the supervision of the Department of Tourism, you can get more detailed information from them.  However, I have visited the excavation site and met with the two archaeological expeditions, and I can say that there are new artifacts that are displayed on the spot," reports “Armenpress”, citing the Minister, who also added that recently the archeologists discovered a basilica in Tigranakert.

Excavations in Tigranakert are carried out by scholars and historians, who arrived from the Republic of Armenia, and in the cave Azokh an international expedition is engaged in the excavations, including Spanish and British archaeologists.
