Since the signing of the ceasefire regime, Azerbaijan tries to solve the Nagorno Karabakh conflict on its behalf through various ways, blackmailing the Minsk Group Co-Chair countries, which are trying to solve the issue peacefully for 20 years. The Commander of the Defense Army of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Movses Hakobyan stated this at the course of the press conference. As reports “Armenpress”, Movses Hakobyan noted: “The intense situation on the frontline is increasing year by year, although we have signed the ceasefire agreement 22 years ago.”

Among other things, the Commander of the Defense Army of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Movses Hakobyan highlighted that the Defense Army was not dismissed and reminded that the ceasefire was signed upon Azerbaijan’s request. It was them, who asked Russia for mediation to establish ceasefire. The Defense Army has launched a new stage after that and a new process of army-building began within that stage. The Defense Army’s activity is directed at compelling the rival not to start a war.
