Residents of Shamshadin hold on tightly to their land: Honey and Berry Festival deepens its
roots

YEREVAN, AUGUST 18, ARMENPRESS. The organizers of Shamshadin Honey and Berry Festival are confident that year by year the festival deepens its roots, Hayk Chobanyan, Director of the Spiritual Revival of Tavush Foundation, said at press conference.  "The excitement we see among the participants and visitors of the festival, shows that the festival is very much needed in this region.  It gives impetus to the people to show that they are holding on tightly to their land. I am sure that still many generations each year will mark the most delicious and most spiritual holiday of Armenia - honey and berry day," said Hayk Chobanyan.

As reports "Armenpress", he once again stated that the event has great economic significance for the region, and some results are already visible. "Our goal is to encourage the production of a number of traditional crops in the region, promote the production, one of which is apiculture, very typical of this region. Rich nature allows not only to have delicious honey, but to increase production. Our three years’ progress is that every year we have increased the number of bee-keepers within the frames of the festival. And today we have much more delicious and presentable honey than three years ago, "said the Director of the Foundation.
