YEREVAN, AUGUST 7, ARMENPRESS. The proposal on signing the agreement regarding Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union will be introduced to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. As reports “Armenpress” citing the official website of the Government of the Russian Federation, the issue of Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union has been included in the agenda of Russian cabinet meeting on August 7.

Among other things, the report states: “It is a fundamental document, which defines the agreement between the Russian Federation, Belarus and Kazakhstan on the conditions of the accession of the Republic of Armenia to the Eurasian Economic Union.”

On May 29, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan signed an agreement about the Eurasian Economic Union to come into force on January 1, 2015. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin said on July 1 at his meeting with Ambassadors and permanent representatives that Armenia would become a full-fledged member of the Eurasian Economic Union very soon.
