YEREVAN, JULY 31 ARMENPRESS. The small arms unit of the Russian military base of the Southern Military District in the Republic of Armenia has launched a three-day special training course of the new method of "tactical sniper duels" in the high mountainous training complex "Kamkhut".

As "Armenpress" was informed from the press service of Russia's Southern Military District, to get prepared for the training the sniper servicemen within one month have studied the rules of individual aiming and target selection, using Dragunov sniper rifle and a special sniper rifle Vintorez.

During the training the personnel was put into tactical situation and was divided into two groups. One group of servicemen will be in the role of a subversive group of the enemy marked by disguised balloons, the others - in the role of a sniper team. Both sides will have to learn to choose the position for fire damage, to be masked in the conditions of mountainous landscape and hot climate, and conduct aimed fire on detected targets with a change of position.
