YEREVAN, JULY 30, ARMENPRESS.  Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received the U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia John Heffern and the Mission Director for Armenia for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Karen Hilliard.

As "Armenpress" was informed from the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the high level of the Armenian-American relations and stressed the importance of ongoing development of bilateral relations.

Hovik Abrahamyan thanked the USAID for carrying out development projects of various fields in our country. He highly appreciated the expertise assistance that the U.S. provides to the Government of the Republic of Armenia, which greatly contributed to the implementation of fundamental improvements in the field of civil aviation. According to the Prime Minister, we already have tangible changes in that sector today.

The interlocutors also discussed a number of issues related to the Armenian-American relations.
