YEREVAN, JULY 30, ARMENPRESS. 30 teachers form Armenia, Karabakh and Diaspora are participating in summer school titled “How to Teach about Armenian Genocide” held in Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute. According to the Deputy Director of Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Suren Manukyan, the Museum-Institute highlights the right introduction of Armenian Genocide theme in schools, because certain challenges arise.

As “Armenpress” reports, Suren Manukyan underscored: “The problem is, that in recent years the topic of genocide is just one of the current topics in our Armenian history, while the uniqueness of Armenian Genocide is that it needs special approach. Why? Because the topic comprises of difficulties, dangers, and in the case of wrong approach it can have serious psychological impact on children and can cause complexes. The meaning of these trainings is that we will try to give new methodology of Armenian Genocide to our teachers, who will later use this methodology in schools.”
