YEREVAN, JULY 29, ARMENPRESS. Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the head the Iranian city of Isfahan 5th District (Nor Jugha) Hamid Asarzadegan. Attaching special importance to the current high level of the Armenian-Iranian friendship and cooperation, Mayor Taron Margaryan pointed out that the friendly ties between Yerevan and the partner cities of Iran are warm, the interaction of the local self-government bodies is effective.

As "Armenpress" was informed from the Department of Information and Public Relations of Yerevan City Hall, in that context the Mayor stressed the importance of the established cooperation with Isfahan, Tehran, Tabriz and Shiraz. Referring particularly to the established partnership relations between Yerevan and Isfahan, Taron Margaryan said that the friendship of the two cities was launched back in 1995 and, as a sister city, at present the development of friendly and partnership relations between Yerevan and Isfahan is of great importance.
