YEREVAN, JULY 29, ARMENPRESS. According to the decision of Moscow’s Basman District Court an independent medical committee has been formed, which in the next two days will examine Armenian businessman and  benefactor Levon Hayrapetyan and will give a distinct assessment of his health conditiona.  In a conversation with “Armenprrss”, the businessman’s friend Matsak Poladyan said that only after committee’s conclusion, it will be clear if Hayrapetyan will be moved to civil hospital or not.

Among other things, Matsak Poladyan  underscored: “Hayrapetyan’s health condition is not so well and we are sure that the doctors must emphasize about this in their conclusion and demand to move him to hospital.”

An online petition in support of Armenian businessman and benefactor Levon Hayrapetyan has been launched on Avaaz.org website. As reports “Armenpress”, the statement is addressed to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and urges to release Levon Hayrapetyan in accordance with the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The abovementioned statement particularly runs as follows: “Levon Hayrapetyan is an elderly man, who suffers from diabetes and has recently had a stroke. Taking into consideration his health conditions he cannot stay in the prison. He needs a permanent medical assistance, which he can receive only in freedom.”

4072 people have already signed the aforesaid statement.

Earlier, the Member of the European Parliament, Czech Senator Jaromír Štětina touched upon the issue of arrest of the friend of his childhood, Armenian businessman and benefactor Levon Hayrapetyan and expressed his concerns regarding this on Facebook. As reports “Armenpress”, Jaromír Štětina underscored: “Levon is my childhood friend. We have crossed the Siberian rivers together. I am afraid for his life.” Also, Jaromír Štětina issued a statement calling upon the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to release Levon Hayrapetyan.

The health conditions of Armenian businessman and benefactor Levon Hayrapetyan are assessed as satisfactory. Levon Hayrapetyan’s friend Matsak Poladyan stated this in a conversation with “Armenpress”.

Among other things, Levon Hayrapetyan’s friend Matsak Poladyan noted: “Today in the morning I learnt that Levon Hayrapetyan’s health conditions are assessed are satisfactory. This gives us hope. They also promised to take him to a civil hospital or place him under house arrest in coming days.”

Previously it was reported that the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation arrested Russia-resident rich Armenian businessman Levon Hayrapetyan. As reports “Armenpress” citing “Rosbalt”, Levon Hayrapetyan was detained on July 15 in Domodedovo Airport, where the airplane landed from Monaco.

The investigators transported the Armenian businessman to the Investigation Committee of the Russian Federation under special surveillance, where he was officially informed about the arrest.

The law enforcement authorities suspect Levon Hayrapetyan of having connections with the band led by criminal authority Sergey Finagin.
