Armenian citizens can stay in Georgia for 90 days without entry visa

TBILISI, JULY 29, ARMENPRESS.  From September 1, Georgia will apply a new visa regime for all foreign citizens.  Only the citizens, with whom Georgia had free visa regime, can visit Georgia without entry visa. Armenia is also included in the number of those countries, and Armenian citizens can visit Georgia for 90 days at the course of 180 days without visa regime. In a conversation with “Armenpress”, the Head of the Georgian Foreign Ministry's consular department Grigor Tabatatse mentioned that the regulation of Georgia’s immigration policy is not aimed against any state or foreigner.

The aim of the Low on “The legal status of foreign citizens and persons without citizenship” recently adopted by the government, is to regulate integration relations with other countries. “It means similar attitude towards all states and all foreign citizens. In this situation to say that Georgia establishes visa regime with Armenia, will be wrong,” Tabatatse said and added that, there exists format, according to which the foreign citizen, with whom Georgia has free visa regime, can visit Georgia during 180 days and stay for 90 days.
