With its provocative steps Azerbaijan further aggravates situation: Armenia’s Foreign Minister

YEREVAN, JULY 22, ARMENPRESS. Arriving in Brussels on a working visit, on July 22, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandyan met with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs Igor Popov, James Warlick, Pierre Andrieu and  Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.

As "Armenpress" was informed from the Department of Press, Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the meeting continued the discussions on forwarding the peace process of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Armenia's Foreign Minister drew the attention of the mediators to the escalation of bellicose rhetoric during the last weeks by the Azerbaijani side on the highest level, the statements distorting the essence and content of negotiations, flagrant violations of the ceasefire on the border with Armenia and in contact line with Nagorno-Karabakh, the activation of subversive operations, causing human losses. He stressed that Azerbaijan with its provocative steps further aggravates the situation, apparently opposing the numerous appeals of the heads of mediator states to prepare the peoples for peace.
