YEREVAN, JULY 16, ARMENPRESS. Tsaghkadzor municipal authorities offering summer and winter recreation are working to develop tourism. In a conversation with “Armenpress" Tsaghkadzor's mayor Artur Harutyunyan said that in the first quarter of this year we had 40 thousand guests, 15 thousand from Russia, 5 thousand from foreign countries, and the rest were our compatriots.

"Today, when the summer season has opened, mostly Armenian tourists are having rest. There are guests from Russia, including sportsmen who are training in the main sports complex, as well as tourists, they are staying at "Armenia Marriott", "Golden Palace" hotel complexes. I mention these large complexes, as they are intermediary, attracting tourists to come to Tsaghkadzor. Of course, the city in its turn does everything to attract tourists," said the mayor. Artur Harutyunyan says that parallel to giving permission for the construction of hotels, they try to develop hotel business.
