Indonesia, Taiwan, Vietnam: Armenian school delegations leave for International Olympiads

YEREVAN, JULY 4, ARMENPRESS. Armenian schoolchildren will take part in the International Olympiads on astronomy, chemistry, physics, mathematics, biology and informatics with representative teams. The first Armenian delegation has already left for the 55th International Mathematical Olympiad, which will be held from July 3-13 in the South African Republic. Head of the Department of General Education of the Ministry of Education and Science Narine Hovhannisyan informed “Armenpress” correspondent that this year 6 pupils will take part in the Mathematical Olympiad. The leaders of the team are Smbat Gogyan, researcher at the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia and lecturer at Yerevan State University (YSU), and Tigran Margaryan, math teacher at A. Shahinian Physics-Mathematics Special School.

The 25th International Biology Olympiad will be held from July 6-13 in Indonesia. Four pupils will represent Armenia in the Olympiad. The team is headed by Gayane Ghukasyan from YSU, Meri Hovsepyan from "Ayb Learning Hub" Foundation, as well as Hripsime Matevosyan from Yerevan State Medical University after M. Heratsi.
